Internet Exchange is a weekly newsletter read by more than 1,200 experts from internet standards bodies, civil society, government, academia, public-interest technology, and individuals from major platforms working on policy and governance. Our readers work on the protocols, policies, and infrastructure that define how technology serves society.

If you’re launching a report, publishing new research, promoting a book, or an event aimed at public interest technologists: Internet Exchange is the place for you.

We accept a limited number of sponsorships from values-aligned organizations working in public-interest technology, digital rights, open standards, or related social impact areas.

Sponsorship Guidelines

  1. Eligibility: We accept ads from organizations working in or adjacent to public-interest technology, digital rights, open standards, or social impact. We reserve the right to decline sponsorships that don’t fit our mission or audience.
  2. Editorial independence: Sponsors do not have influence over editorial content. We do not share drafts or tailor coverage.
  3. Content standards: Sponsored content must be accurate, professional, and appropriate for our readership. We do not accept ads that promote harmful, misleading, discriminatory, or extractive technologies.
  4. Placement & Format:
    • Sponsorships appear in the middle of the newsletter, below our long post and above our links and are clearly labelled as sponsored.
    • Up to 150 words, plus one image or logo.
    • We’ll work with you to make sure the ad is clear, informative, and useful to our audience.
  5. Data privacy: We share high-level analytics such as total subscribers, average open rate, and aggregate link-click performance. We never share individual-level reader data.

Pricing

Simple, predictable rates:

  • $200 for a single edition
  • $500 for a three-edition bundle

Bundles work well for launches, multi-stage research releases, and multi-week campaigns.
